Sana'a-Marib power station has resumed operating after six months of fighting between the Houthi militias and pro-legitimacy resistance fighters in Marib governorate to the east of Yemen.

Local sources said the resumption of the station comes after the liberation of Marib from the Houthi militants and allied forces.
On Friday, Marib districts received electricity after days of living in the dark, according to the source.

Marib power station used to provide electricity for the capital Sana'a before the breakout of war. Now it is not clear if this station will end the months-long outages in the capital.
