Sanaa-based government Prime Minister Dr. Abdulaziz bin Habtoor received on Tuesday the UN World Food Program (WFP)regional director for the Middle East, North Africa, Central Asia, and East Europe Muhannad Hadi, and his delegation, reported Houthi-run Saba news agency.

According to the agency, the discussed the progress of the program in Yemen and its humanitarian interventions aimed at alleviating the great suffering of millions of Yemenis and the effective response to the looming famine due to the tragedy of the era which was made and fueled by the aggression and the siege and the economic war on the Yemen by the US-saudi coalition for the fifth year in a row.

The meeting discussed ways to consolidate the partnership between the National Salvation government and the WFP towards the vast majority of the Yemeni people, who have been driven by the current human tragedy to the brink of starvation.

The meeting discussed joint cooperation on the dynamic mechanism to ensure more streamlined procedures, smooth flow of WFP assistance and direct access to the target group to serve the program's orientation to start paying cash support to them.
