Delegations from the Yemeni internationally-recognized government and Houthi group will meet soon in Switzerland to discuss arrangements for political inclusive solution in the war-torn country, diplomatic sources said Sunday.

The UN special envoy for Yemen, Martin Griffiths, has headed to Riyadh to meet with the official government's representatives and discuss the latest draft of ceasefire joint declaration and the start of political talks, Asharq al-Awsat quoted sources with close knowledge of Yemen's issue as saying.

The unnamed sources talked about progress in Griffiths' efforts in bridging the gap between the Yemeni rivals, as the UN envoy "wants to solve all the disputes before the latest draft is declared."

They pointed out, "A meeting between the two parties … will be held soon in Switzerland to discuss many arrangements," the sources added, without further details on the meeting.

They added, "The two parties say they want a ceasefire and to start inclusive political talks, and have some ideas for the economic and humanitarian measures.”

The draft joint declaration focuses on how to reach a nationwide ceasefire in Yemen, to agree on economic and humanitarian measures, and resume the peace process.
