Confrontations pitting the Southern Transitional Council (STC) and southern resistance against the Houthi group broadly renewed on Sunday in Dhalea province, a military source said.
The fighting mainly occurred in al-Fakhir area, spreading to al-Aud district south Dhalea, the source added, as well as sporadic clashes in Markhaza area and Othman Hills.
Joint Forces, southern resistance and Security Belt forces engaged in new fighting with the Houthi fighters on all fronts, according to the source.
These confrontations intermittently expanded also to al-Fakhir, after similar clashes erupted towards Markhaza area and Othman Hills.
These renewed battles come days after cautious calm in Dhalea, excepting for some skirmishes and infrequent shelling with medium and light weapons.
